Geneva Deaton, 102, of Nicholasville, KY, died May 1, 2023. Born August 4, 1920, in Winfield, TN, Geneva was the daughter of the late Arthur and Nancy Childers. Geneva was a long-time member of Coeburn United Methodist Church in Coeburn, VA. She is survived by her grandchildren, Tag Huffman (Lelia), Michael Huffman (Mary) and Tanya Kendrick (Jason); seven great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her first husband, Frank Carpenter; her second husband, Cecil Deaton; her beloved daughter, Patricia Huffman; son-in-law, Ralph Huffman and brother, Floyd Childers. A private service will be 11:00 AM, Thursday, May 4, 2023, in the mausoleum at Blue Grass Memorial Gardens, 4915 Harrodsburg Rd., Nicholasville, KY 40356.
