Terrell Lyle Thompson, 53, of Georgia, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, July 19, 2026. Born in Savannah, Georgia, Lyle lived a life defined by hard work, craftsmanship, and a deep love for his family and friends. A proud member of the Freemasons and the Millwrights Local Union 1066, he dedicated his career to the construction industry. For much of his life, he traveled extensively, serving in construction management on large-scale utility projects around the world. He was an avid collector of sports memorabilia, taking great pride in building an impressive collection that reflected his lifelong love of the game. Whether creating something with his hands, cheering on his favorite teams, or spending time with those he loved, Lyle found joy in every opportunity to share his passions. Lyle was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas Lee Thompson and Barbara Ann Bishop Thompson, and his brother, Tracy Lane Thompson. He leaves behind a family who will forever cherish his memory: his son, Alex Thompson, and wife, Madison Thompson; his daughters, Savannah Huck and husband, Terren Huck, and Laila Thompson. Also his significant other, Candace Macdonald. He was a proud grandfather to four beloved granddaughters: Rylee Thompson and Madeleine, Evelyn & Lyndon Huck, who brought immeasurable joy to his life. Lyle will be remembered for his strength, generosity, wisdom, and unwavering dedication to his family. His legacy lives on through the lives he touched, the work he accomplished, and the memories he created with those who loved him. Though he will be deeply missed, his spirit will remain in the hearts of all who knew him. A celebration of Lyle's life will be held for family and friends at a later date. His family invites all who knew and loved him to join them in sharing memories and celebrating a life well lived.
