Alan Wells, Sr.

Alan Wells, Sr., 69, of Nicholasville, passed away Wednesday, September 13, 2023 at Ephram McDowell Medical Center in Danville.

Born December 30, 1953 in Lexington, Kentucky to the late James & Anna Louise Smith Wells, he was a former Corrections Officer at the Lexington-Fayette County Detention Center.

Surviving are a daughter, Sara Greene, of Nicholasville; a son, Alan Wells, Jr.; 6 grandchildren: Zachary Wells, Zaylee Wells, Ray Greene, Kiley Greene, Michael Wells and Malachi Wells; a great-grandson, Kingston Wells; a sister, Penny Griffin; and 2 nieces & a nephew, Kellie Dryden-Bigelow, Courtney Harrab & Cody Griffin.

Also preceding him in death was a brother, Jimmy Wells.
