Robert Dale “Bob” King, 61, husband of Sharon Hunter King, passed away Friday, September 20, 2024 at his home in Lexington.
Born November 24, 1962 in Jackson, Kentucky to the late Luther Eugene & Ruby Durihan King, he grew up working on his family’s pig farm and later did metal work at several area factories. He served as a priest for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. A big teddy bear, he had a great sense of humor, was the life of the party and a true gift to have in your life.
Additional survivors include his daughters: Shannon Renee Sullivan, Heather Walter & Jessica Anderson; his brother, Luther King Jr; his sister, Diane Kings-Updyke; his stepfather, George Leslie Powell; and his grandchildren: Tristan Walter, Lakota Walter, Alex Walter, Madison Renee Page, Jameson Lee Sullivan, Robert Dale King III, Paisley Brown & Chloe Nicole Crawford. He will also be missed especially by his eight great-grandchildren.
Also preceding him in death was a son, Robert Dale King, Jr.
Following cremation, the family will hold a memorial service in the near future.
