Bobby Joe Thorn

Bobby Joe Thorn, 78, of Dexter, husband of more than 40 years to the late Judy Nimmo Thorn, passed away Thursday, March 21, 2024 at the Bluegrass Hospice Care Center at U.K. in Lexington.

Born February 25, 1946 in Puryear, Tennessee to the late Victor & Pearl Dunn Thorn, he worked for many years in a grain factory and then for himself hauling scrap metal.

Surviving are 3 brothers: Donald Thorn, Dale Thorn & Ronald (Phyllis) Thorn, all of Dexter; and a sister, Merrell Sheridan of Hazel, along with a large extended family. 

Also preceding him in death were 3 brothers: Marvin, Wayne & Charles Thorn. 

A memorial service will be held in the near future.
