Brian James Swanson, 41, of Lexington, died June 4, 2022. Born January 7, 1981, in Cleveland, OH. Brian was the son of Carolyn Matthews Ellis and stepfather Ronald Ellis Sr. Other than his parents, he is survived by his wife of 22 years, Sherry Swanson; children, Misjanie Swanson, Vennice Kennedy, Ethan Broyles, and Zhanine Brooks (William); grandchildren, Kennedi Brooks and Bryten Brooks; brothers and sisters, Arnetta Anderson, David Jackson, Nicole Matthews, Ronald Ellis Jr., Earl Ellis, Shaye Ellis, and Brittany Ellis; a host of nieces and nephews; his father-in-law, James Gist; mother-in-law, Janie Gist, and little sister and best friend, Sean Gist. As well as his special dog companion, Monty. A visitation will be held from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM on Saturday, June 11, 2022 at Great Crossing Funeral & Cremation, 1400 N. Broadway, Lexington, KY 40505.
