Carolyn Sue (Martindale) Haney

Carolyn Sue Martindale Haney, 81, passed away Thursday, January 4, 2024 at Bluegrass Care and Rehabilitation in Lexington.

Born October 12, 19423 in Richmond, Indiana, she was a former housekeeper at local hotels, a former employee of Hart’s Dry Cleaning, and member of Mt. Olivet Baptist Church. Carolyn greatly enjoyed spending time with her family.

Surviving are a son, Chris Haney; 4 grandchildren: Stephen Carter, Gabriella Mundy, Thomas Haney & Patrick Helmburg; 4 great-grandchildren: William Helmburg, Kenny Lovins, III, Alivia Louise Sue Haney and Sapphire Hollins, and another great-grandchild, Thomas Duane Joseph Haney, Jr. on the way.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Gertrude Vaughn.

A memorial service will be held at 12:00 Noon Saturday, January 13th at Mt. Olivet Baptist Church.

Visitation will be from 11:00 A.M. Saturday until the time of service.
