David Wallace Knapp, 63, of Nicholasville, passed away Thursday, February 29, 2024 at his home.
Born September 28, 1960 in Huntington, New York to the late Robert Frank and Doris Bowen Knapp, he worked for many years in the printing industry. During his youth he was a state champion tennis player, basketball, and baseball player in Evergreen, Colorado, graduating in 1978. He was an avid skier in his young adulthood, and enjoyed a lifelong love for the game of golf. He is preceded in death by his sister, the late Darcy Jean Warriner.
Surviving are three children: Lindsay Chavez-Rey, Lauren Knapp, and Jean Fuentes; a sister, Amy Knapp, and a brother, Robert Knapp; as well as two grandchildren: Ellie and Charlotte Chavez-Rey.
David has been cremated and will be buried next to family members in Littleton, Colorado; where he spent the majority of his lifetime.
