Dr. Harry Steuber Obituary

Dr. Harry Bentley Steuber, husband of 45 years to Judith Jasper Steuber, passed away peacefully during the early hours of Saturday, March 16, 2024, his 92nd birthday, at his home in Lexington. 

Born March 16, 1932 in Rochester, New York to the late George Adam & Lila Parks Steuber, Harry spent his earlier years residing in Penfield, New York, which he claimed as home. He later attended Amherst College, where he played football and graduated pre-med. After graduating from Amherst, he spent two years in the army. He was trained as a forward observer. Just as he was ordered behind enemy lines, the war was over. Thank you, Lord. He later attended Marquette and received his master’s degree and on to Florida State to earn his Ph.D. He worked as a clinical psychologist for 39 years at The Guidance Center in Murfreesboro, Tennessee, was an adjunct professor of psychology at Middle Tennessee State University, and member of the North Lexington Church of Christ.  

Additional survivors include his daughters, Beth, Kathy, Debra & Kim; and his stepson, David (Leslie) Corman; along with several grandchildren & great-grandchildren. 

Also preceding him in death were his 20-year-old son, David Allen Steuber; his 57-year-old stepson, Steven Edward Corman; and his brother, Al Steuber. 

A memorial service will be held at 1:00 P.M. Saturday, April 6th at North Lexington Church of Christ.
