Erik Gerome Spiller

Erik Gerome Spiller, 51, husband of Mary Kovatch Spiller, passed away Saturday, March 2, 2024 at his home in Lexington, Kentucky.

A native of Oak Park, Michigan born June 21, 1972, he worked as a manager for many years in retail at Galyan’s Trading Company and Gall’s. Erik was an avid outdoorsman who loved bike riding and hiking. He took up woodworking a few years ago and took great enjoyment in making wooden crosses for his friends.

Also surviving are his children, Bryce Owen & Acadia Jade Spiller, of Lexington; his mother, Diane Kolb Spiller; a brother, Jason (Cristin) Spiller; and a sister, Saundra (Dale) Ryan, all of Michigan.

Erik was preceded in death by his father, Elliott Howard Spiller.

In accordance with his wishes, Erik will be cremated and later scattered at sea.
