Geneva Deaton

Geneva Deaton, 102, of Nicholasville, KY, died May 1, 2023. Born August 4, 1920, in Winfield, TN, Geneva was the daughter of the late Arthur and Nancy Childers. Geneva was a long-time member of Coeburn United Methodist Church in Coeburn, VA. She is survived by her grandchildren, Tag Huffman (Lelia), Michael Huffman (Mary) and Tanya Kendrick (Jason); seven great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her first husband, Frank Carpenter; her second husband, Cecil Deaton; her beloved daughter, Patricia Huffman; son-in-law, Ralph Huffman and brother, Floyd Childers. A private service will be 11:00 AM, Thursday, May 4, 2023, in the mausoleum at Blue Grass Memorial Gardens, 4915 Harrodsburg Rd., Nicholasville, KY 40356. Great Crossing Funeral & Cremation is in charge of arrangements.
