Jake X. Rickert

Jacob X. Rickert, 24, of Lexington, died July 12, 2022. Born September 29, 1997, in Lexington, KY, Jacob was the son of Gregory and Regina Shields Rickert. Jacob passed after a valiant battle with chronic illness. He attended James Lane Allen Elementary and Southern Middle School, graduated from Tates Creek High School, and attended Bluegrass Community & Technical College. Jake was involved in athletics from a young age playing youth baseball, middle school football and track, and high school track. His most loved sport was disc golf where he competed in 41 Professional Disc Golf Association sanctioned events, including two PDGA world championships, and earned 9 career wins. Other than his parents, he is survived by his siblings, Joshua, Alison, Susannah, John Paul and Nancy. A funeral mass will be held at 10:00 AM on Wednesday, July 20, 2022, at Mary Queen of the Holy Rosary, 601 Hill N Dale Rd., Lexington, KY 40503. Visitation will be 5:00 - 9:00 PM, Tuesday, July 19, 2022 at Mary Queen of the Holy Rosary. In lieu of flowers please make contributions to https://donate-usa.keela.co/jacob-rickert-legacy-fund.
