James Monroe Hensley, 69, of Lexington, husband of Lynetta Mullins Hensley, passed away Friday, September 27, 2024 at the University of Kentucky Medical Center.
Born November 7, 1954 in Whitesburg, Kentucky to the late James Richard & Viola McCray Hensley, he was a U.S. Navy veteran, had previously worked as an EMT, and cooked for many years at Ramsey’s Restaurant. James greatly enjoyed reading and spending time with his family.
Additional survivors include a daughter, Angelina Rose Hensley (Vincente Cruz); a son, Jonathan “Johnny” Ray Hensley; and a sister, Rana Rose Hensley Kincer, along with several nieces & nephews.
Also preceding him in death were a sister, Lucinda Hensley Roberts, and a brother, Johnny Morgan Hensley.
In accordance with his wishes, James will be cremated with no formal services.
