Jerry Hart

Gerald David “Jerry” Hart, 83, of Lexington, passed away Sunday, March 23, 2025 at UK-Good Samaritan Hospital.

Born May 22, 1941 in Lexington to the late David Martin & Mary Ruth Cox Hart, he was a U.S. Navy veteran, a carpenter by trade and worked for many years at Centre College in Danville. Jerry greatly enjoyed fishing on Lake Herrington. 

Surviving are 2 children, Todd (Dawan) Hart of Nicholasville & Tracy (Steve) Applegate of Ball Ground, Georgia; a brother, Edward Martin “Marty” Hart; a granddaughter, Taylor, & 3 grandsons, Phillip, Conner and Logan; a niece, Amy Hart; and 2 great-granddaughters, Avery & Aiden.

In accordance with his wishes, Jerry will be cremated with no formal services.
