Joseph Filmore Hurt

Joseph Filmore Hurt, 61, native of Lexington, died October 24, 2021. Born December 13, 1959. Joseph was the son of the late Cronly Hurt and Betty Lou Smedley Collins. Joseph loved to joke and make people smile. He is survived by his daughters, Shirley Smith and Megan Hurt; stepdaughters, April Townsend and Kim Townsend; grandchildren, Booklyn, Aspen, Octavia, Aven, and Andras; step grandchildren, William, Autumn, Devon, Scott and Thomas, great-grandchildren Leilani, Ellianna, Malayia, and Haddie, step great-grandchildren, Aadyen, Addison, Lincoln and Jackson; brother James Hurt; sisters, Judy Bruggeman and Connie Dunn. He was preceded in death by his wife Debbie Townsend Hurt and great-grandson Terrance. Visitation will be 6:00PM to 8:00PM at Great Crossing Funeral & Cremation, 1400 N Broadway, Lexington, KY 40505.
