Kenneth Banta Obituary

Kenneth Marion Banta, 66, native of Lexington, died July 18, 2022. Born September 3, 1955, Kenneth was the son of the late Marion and Lorrayne Riddle Banta. Kenneth received his master's degree in social work, which he used to help people with drug and alcohol addiction. He helped greatly in a program called Reformers Unanimous. Kenneth was also a nurse and a loving father. He is survived by his children, Christina Kolenda (David), Jennifer Banta-Davis (Jeremy), and Christopher Banta; his grandchildren, Quinton, Zachary, Xennon, Skylar, Tristen, Miley, Emily, Lily and Gabe; and dogs Harley and Mookie. Other than his parents, he is preceded in death by his sister, Judy Williamson. Funeral services will be 7:00 PM Thursday, July 21, 2022, at Mt. Olivet Baptist Church, 1008 Delaware Ave., Lexington, KY 40505. Visitation will be prior from 4:00 - 7:00 PM on Thursday at the Church. Graveside services will be 1:30 PM Friday, July 22, 2022, in Camp Nelson National Cemetery, 6980 Danville Rd., Nicholasville, KY 40356. Great Crossing Funeral & Cremation, 1400 N. Broadway, Lexington, KY 40505 is in charge of arrangements.
