Linda Varney Manley

Linda Varney Manley, 77, of Lexington, KY, died July 1, 2022. Born Jan. 20, 1945, in Williamson, WV, Linda was the daughter of the late William York Varney and Muriel Carrico Varney. Linda was sweet, smart and funny. She was generous with her time and love. She loved her family, especially her three grandchildren, Christian Chesney, Graham Chesney and Scarlett Lunsford. She took them to all the fun places in Lexington. She loved horses, German Shepherds and her cat, Tyler. She cared for her dad for 14 years and they gave each other great company. She will be greatly missed. In addition to her grandchildren, Linda is survived by two daughters, Kelly Chesney (Tim) of Lexington, KY and Leigh Lunsford (David) of Georgetown, KY; one brother, William "Bill" Varney, Jr. (Linda) of Lexington, KY; and one nephew, William "Will" Varney III of Lexington, KY. Funeral services will be 10:30 AM, Thursday, July 7, 2022, in the mausoleum at Blue Grass Memorial Gardens, 4915 Harrodsburg Rd., Nicholasville, KY 40356. In lieu of flowers or tree donations, contributions are suggested to the Lexington Humane Society, 1600 Old Frankfort Pike, Lexington, KY 40504. Great Crossing Funeral & Cremation, 1400 N. Broadway, Lexington, KY 40505 is in charge of arrangements.
