Maurice Byars Hibbard passed to meet his Heavenly Father on Monday, November 21st, 2022, in Lexington, KY.
A Memorial Service will be held in the chapel at Union Church, Berea, KY on Friday, November 25th at 2:00 pm.
Maurice was born on March 2, 1935, in Berea, KY to Mae and Homer Hibbard. Maurice was the younger of two brothers. Maurice loved all people, choosing a career in the ministry allowing him the chance to share his love. Maurice respected the dignity of everyone, celebrating their differences. Maurice had a fantastic sense of humor. His legacy of loving others and his keen sense of humor is passed on through his family and those who were fortunate to know him. Maurice retired from the Air Force Chaplaincy in 1988, continuing in the Presbyterian Church, as a Minister, Maurice practiced the true grace and love of Christ. Maurice is survived by his wife, BG Hibbard, his children Brent, Laura, Kirby, and Robert Hibbard; his stepchildren Jim, Janet, Paul, and JoBeth; 16 grandchildren, and 9 great grandchildren. Maurice is preceded in death by his parents Mae and Homer, his brother Ray, and his wife Toni. His family invites you to experience his personal telling of his life through Facebook/Maurice B.
