Okey Clinton Burgess, 62, passed away Thursday, March 7, 2024 at his home in Lexington.
Born October 16, 1961 in Montgomery, West Virginia to the late Alfred Clinton & Charlotte Jean Kessler Burgess, he was a former employee of Burnett Roofing. He genuinely loved to work and enjoyed drawing.
Surviving are 2 sons, Travis (Megan) Burgess of Auburn, Indiana & Josh Mullens of Corbin; 2 daughters, Elisha Nicole (Kevin) Lewis of Morehead & Reyna Andrea of Frankfort; 2 brothers, Alfred Clinton Burgess, Jr. of Hendersonville, Tennessee & Boyd Scott Burgess of St. Mary’s, West Virginia; 2 sisters, Margaret Lynn (Richard Anthony) Vabrinskas of Cosby, Tennessee & Debby June (Ronald Paul) Hayworth of Princeton, West Virginia; his beloved companion, Brenda Lorentz; and a host of grandchildren.
He was also preceded in death by a sister, Cassandra Jean Burgess.
In accordance with his wishes, Okey will be cremated with no formal services.
