Ola Bendig Madsen, 75, of Lexington, KY, entered into the Lord's presence on September 28, 2022. Born July 17, 1947, in Pawtucket, RI, Ola was the son of the late Ola Bendig Madsen and Dorothy Wild Madsen. Ola was a leadership and management speaker and trainer that had a tremendous worldwide impact on numerous lives through his executive career in the direct selling industry, personal development and leadership training, international radio broadcasts and mentoring in the health, wellness and fitness industry. He held a Masters in Theology and Divinity from Asbury Theological Seminary (where he was also an adjunct professor), PhD in Behavioral Psychology, an accredited Staley lecturer, speaker for the American Management Association and American Society for Training and Development (ASTD). He endeavored to live a life centered in God and rooted in faith. His commitment to optimal health led to success in competitive body building in his later years. He was the founder and president of Adventures in Total Development LLC, a personal development and wellness training and coaching company and the host of the radio show "Transitions with Dr. Ola" on NBC in Saint Vincent and the Grenadines since 2012. He was also a dog trainer and an AKC evaluator for the past 3 years.
Ola is survived by his wife, Maria Madsen; children, Jane Gibson (Mike), Belinda Madsen, Marion Parajes, and Angel Parajes; grandchild, Sophia Gibson; sister, Donna Benoit (Jerry), and nephew, Steven Benoit. His presence, vibrant personality and love for people and life will be greatly missed on this side of eternity.
