Rebecca Anne Smith-McGovern

Rebecca Anne Smith-McGovern, 59, of West Liberty, passed away Friday, August 16, 2024 at the University of Kentucky Medical Center in Lexington. 

Born December 2, 1964 in Corona, California to the late Otis & Maryjo Hanna Smith, she worked for many years as a hairdresser and then a bookkeeper. Rebecca loved to ride horses, enjoyed farming and raising animals.

Surviving are her daughter, Ceallach McGovern of Wilsonville, Oregon; her significant other, David Chelf of West Liberty; and her sister, Amanda Smith of West Liberty. 

In accordance with her wishes, Rebecca will be cremated with no formal services.
