Robert William Collier, 84, husband of the late Brenda Manley Collier, passed away Sunday, September 29, 2024 at Baptist Health-Lexington.
Born November 7, 1939 in Harrodsburg, Kentucky to the late Uniford & Rachel Carter Collier, he had worked for many years as a car salesman at several area dealerships, as a taxi driver and most recently as a courier driver. He loved family gatherings, attending Keeneland and watching the horses, playing the lottery, U.K. Basketball and cars, especially Dodge Chargers.
Surviving are 2 children, Robert (Shannon) Collier of Georgetown and Carmen Mabry (Richard Padgett) of Versailles; 2 grandchildren, Lindsay and Chelsea; and 9 great-grandchildren: Haley, Bradley, Aaron, Landon, Christian, Jayden, Brooklynn, Lucas and Chloe.
Also preceding him in death were a daughter, Cathy Jean Collier Jett; a brother, Willard Howard Collier; a sister, Violet Collier Neal; and a grandson, Davy.
A graveside service will be held at 1:00 P.M. Thursday, October 3rd at Blue Grass Memorial Gardens.
Family & friends will serve as casketbearers.
