Robert D. Thompson

Robert Dave Thompson, 64, husband of Wanda Lykins Thompson, passed away Saturday, September 30, 2023 at his home in Lexington.

Born May 19, 1959 in Lexington, he was a self-employed auto mechanic and member of the Baptist Faith. Robert enjoyed hunting & fishing, and loved spending time and having meals with his family.

Also surviving are a son, Jeremiah Thompson; 2 daughters, Michele (Justin) Yang & Mindy (Walt) Thompson-Williams; 3 stepchildren, Matthew D. (Jessica) Doyle, Cassie Lykins & Mandi (Jason) Wheeler; 2 sisters, Connie (David) May & Vickey (Tom) Fathergill; and 6 grandchildren, along with his beloved pets, cats-Hunter & Sadie, and dog, Willow.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Oma Williams Thompson Abner; his father, Robert Thompson; and a son, Joshua Thompson.

A memorial service will be held at 12:30 P.M. Friday, October 6th at Trinity Baptist Church with a fellowship meal following. Visitation will begin at 11:30 A.M. Friday. Robert will be inurned on his mother's grave at The Lexington Cemetery.
