Ruth Ann Greathouse, 62, passed away at her home in Lexington on Wednesday, June 17, 2026.
Born October 3, 1963 to the late Donald & Mary Anderson, Ruth was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. She had a kind and generous heart and touched the lives of everyone who knew her. She found joy in spending time with her family and creating lasting memories with those she loved most. Ruth will be remembered for her strength, compassion, and the love she freely gave to others. Her warm smile, caring nature, and unwavering love for her family will never be forgotten. Though she is no longer with us in body, her spirit and the beautiful memories she leaves behind will live on forever in the hearts of all who knew and loved her. Ruth loved flowers, planting, and her beloved dog Lucy.
Survived by her husband Jess Greathouse; a son Jeffrey Todd (Ashley) Armstrong; a brother Donald (Rose) Anderson, Jr.; sisters Sue (Richard) Creech & Kay Webb; a special brother-in-law Jim Webb; and a brother-in-law Danny Haney; her grandchildren, Austin & Addalyn; and a host of nieces & nephews and great-nieces & nephews.
Also preceding her in death were her son, Austin Lee Armstrong, and a sister, Connie Jean Farmer.
In accordance with her wishes, there will be no formal services.
