Ruth Elizabeth Wenz, 88, wife of the late Peter Wenz, passed away Wednesday, May 20, 2026, at Baptist Health-Lexington.
Born June 21, 1937 in Ypsilanti, Michigan to the late Gilbert & Esther Butler, Ruth enjoyed dancing, traveling with her husband, visiting lighthouses, going to the beach, and fishing.
Surviving are a son, Michael, and three daughters: Sharon, Lisa & Kelly, along with several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by her son, Scot.
In accordance with her wishes, Ruth will be cremated with no formal services.
