Shawna Colleen (Heflin) Tabet

Shawna Colleen Heflin Tabet, 57, of Scottsville, Kentucky, wife of 34 years to Frank Bruce Tabet, passed away Wednesday, January 10, 2024 at the Hospice Care Center at the University of Kentucky Hospital.

Born December 28, 1966 in Ankara, Turkey, she worked for many years as a real estate agent and was one of Jehovah’s Witnesses. Shawna was very artistic and enjoyed painting, photography, cooking & playing golf. Most would describe her as a mild-mannered, calming influence who gave freely of herself and was truly the sweetest person. Her selflessness moved her to dedicate much of her time to teaching any person she met the wonderful promises of a paradise earth to come. Her belief and hope is to be a part of that paradise earth and live forever upon it. Revelation 21:4. 

Also surviving are 2 sons, Keith Michael (Roquel) Tabet & Joshua Franklin Tabet; her parents, Troy Alson (Julia) Heflin & Ruth Burns Smith; 2 brothers, Adam Paul (Theresa Morgan) Heflin & Noah Jason (Crystal) Heflin; a sister, Darci Collette (Alexander) Coleman; a half-brother, Cheyney Lane Heflin; a stepsister, Desiree Rochelle (Ibram) Quiles; a grandson, Linken Tabet; and her pride and joy, her beloved service dog, Oreo. 

In accordance with her wishes, Shawna will be cremated. There will be no immediate services.
