Shirley Sue LaRose, 87, wife to Frank A. LaRose, died September 14, 2022. Born January 1, 1935, in Fort Smith, Arkansas, Shirley was the daughter of the late Kenneth Cantrell and Erdine Wrinkle Cantrell. Shirley was an accomplished nurse, nutritionist, chef and had a passion for sharing the gospel. She was an amazing mother who loved the Lord. Other than Frank, her husband of 67 years, Shirley is survived by her children, Mark LaRose (Terri) of Emmett, ID, and Lois Schell (Randall) of Nicholasville, KY; grandchildren, Nicholas LaRose, Cassandra Kam, and Conner Schell; great grandchildren, Grayson, and Lillian LaRose; siblings, Mary, Linda, Nadine, Lou Ellen, Kathryn, and Candice; a host of nieces and nephews; and cousins, Suzanne, and Larry. She is preceded in death by her brothers, Kenneth and Jerry; sisters, Mary, Loretta and Beverly; and her sister-in-law, Marie Murphy. Burial will be 9:00 AM on Friday, September 16, 2022, in Camp Nelson National Cemetery, 6980 Danville Rd., Nicholasville, KY 40356. A memorial service will be Friday, October 7, 2022, at 12 noon at Lexington Seventh-day Adventist Church, 980 Lane Allen Rd., Lexington, KY 40504.
