Vickie Sue (Schmidt) Sweet

Vickie Sue Sweet, born September 3, 1949, passed away peacefully on August 16, 2025, with family present at Baptist Health Hospital in Lexington.

Vickie was the cherished daughter of the late Harold Lewis and Ruby Francis (Swearingen) Schmidt. She was also preceded in death by her sister, Linda Truitt.

She is survived by her daughter, three grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, her nephew, and many extended family members who loved her dearly.

Vickie loved traveling and exploring new places, but she also found joy in the simple comforts of home—especially while watching her favorite HGTV shows. She will be remembered for her warmth, her love for family, and the memories she created with those closest to her.

In keeping with her wishes, Vickie has been cremated.
