Wilma Jean Gibson

Wilma Jean Collins Gibson, 78, of McRoberts, Kentucky gained her heavenly reward on Thursday, June 29, 2023 at the University of Kentucky Medical Center in Lexington.

She was born on March 28, 1945 in Letcher County to the late Leland & Bertha Beaire Collins. She was a devoted homemaker and loved her family so very much. She was the Pastor at The Church of Jesus of McRoberts for 44 years. She loved to study the Bible, sing and play the piano. She loved to cook and work in her flower bed. She would circle a word daily and watch Law & Order while drinking her Mountain Dew. She will be greatly missed.

Surviving are her 2 daughters, Tina (Brett) Holland, of Neon, and Angela (J.R.) Collins, of Premium; and 3 grandchildren, Nicholas Holland, Travis (Cody) Holland & Kimber Collins, along with a host of family & friends to mourn her passing.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Stanley Gibson and her brothers, Leland, Jr., Jim, Bob, Richard and Jack.

A memorial service and celebration of life will be held on Sunday, July 16th from 2:00-6:00 P.M. with services at 6:00 P.M. at The Church of Jesus of McRoberts, Kentucky.
