Zongyao He

Zongyao He, 97, wife of the late Xijie Li, passed away Tuesday, July 15, 2025 at the UK Hospice Care Center at Good Samaritan in Lexington.

Born March 10, 1928 in Chongqing, China to the late Tingguang He & Qinghua Zhang, she was a high school teacher before emigrating to the United States and a member of the Lexington Chinese Christian Church.

Surviving are 3 children: Chingwen (Christine) Li and Fanglin Li (Jian Luo), both of Lexington, and Qingping Li (Zhaoqin Wen) of Durham, North Carolina; and 3 grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by a brother.

A memorial service will be held 2:30 P.M. Saturday, July 26th at Great Crossing Funeral & Cremation with visitation beginning at 2:00 P.M.
